What would you do with the great gift of a paid year to explore what you’re most curious about?
Over the course of the 2012-2013 academic year, I visited friends in far-flung places, gathering stories and questions to help make my classroom–and this blog–an even more vibrant place for learning and growing. In particular, I chose to focus on the fields of growth mindset, contemplative practice, improvisational theater, and positive reinforcement behavioral training.
- How do these fields support or challenge each other?
- What can they do together that they can’t do apart?
- How can they help us become better leaders?
- What do they imply for teaching or learning?
- What do they suggest about creating a life well-lived and well-loved?
Now that my sabbatical year is past, I’ve left the everyday classroom to start a business–Anima Learning–that allows me to continue the exploration.
I’m honored that you’ve stopped by. Please leave a comment, a question, or an insight of your own. Your voice is part of the ongoing inquiry!
